Blessed is the Man

Blessed is the man whose hope is the Lord,

One who seeks for wisdom that only He can impart,

Who never trusts in the arm of a man,

Knowing he must build on the rock and not on the sand.

Blessed is he who shares the good news,

Who's not just content to occupy church pews.

Knowing his treasure is not held in earthly things.

Like houses and lands and valuable gold rings.

Blessed is the man who'll lay down his life,

Whose motive is love and he desires to end strife.

Who starts his day on his knees seeking God's face,

And prays for the nations of every color and race.

The heart is happiest when it

beats for others.

Blessed and fortunate and happy and spiritually prosperous (in that state in which the born-again child of God enjoys His favor and salvation) are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness (uprightness and right standing with God), for they shall be completely satisfied!
